good product
I don't really have many complexion problems, but I do break out on occasion. I decided to try these on a whim. They work well, they get your face clean. They are very intense however. I cannot use them everyday or else it overdries my face, I also recommend a facial moisturizer to apply afterwards or else your face is going to overproduce oil to overcompensate. I use it every 3 days or so and rely mainly on exfoliation and an everyday facial wash.For the price its great, listen to your body, you may not need something as extreme everyday. Top to learn more
Great System to Fight Acne
Although marketed for teenage boys, I am a woman over 40 who loves using the Oxy products. Using the face wash, cleansing pads, and spot treatment has helped to keep my face clean and clear. And, my face knows when I have messed up the system! I also use the scrub to help keep my skin exfoliated. As always, I like to mention that these products should NOT be used by those with sensitive skin. But, if you have stubborn acne, Oxy could be just what you need. And, it is much cheaper than ProActiv while being more effective (at least for me). The packs offered at Amazon are a great bargain and good way to ensure that you don't run out of product! Great on older skin also!
I'm in my 60s and still getting breakouts. This devices clears up any breakout before it develops into anything big. It is also getting rid of little white bumps I have on my chin. It is evening out my skin tone and fading brown spots. I have been using it for a month now. It is well worth the money. You would spend more than this for one good facial. I highly recommend it! It does NOT and is NOT supposed to get warm/hotThen you test on your hand....you will feel a static electricity feeling, but it is very light. You can turn the dial up two more settings. This was designed for at home use so if you follow the directions you shouldn't be able to hurt yourself with it.If you use a piece of unfolded gauze over your face, it will help guide the electrode smoothly over your skin. Not Just for Teenage Boys
Okay, I am Black woman over 40. And, I love this face wash. I suffered from pretty bad acne. I had been using ProActiv and decided to use Philosophy Purity. Yikes! My face developed horrible acne that ProActiv could not clear. I tried a number of different products before trying Oxy. And, man, does it work. My skin looks and feels wonderful. I use the complete Oxy line. I start with the scrub, then follow it up with the wash. I use the cleansing pads and spot treatment (which I actually apply to my full face). It keeps my face clear. And, if I get an occasional pimple, it is cleared very quickly. As compared to other acne treatments, Oxy is very inexpensive. I went ahead and started subscribing to the products so I would not run out.WARNING: This is NOT for anyone with sensitive skin. This is very strong. Also, it can bleach clothing so be sure that you aren't wearing your favorite clothing when you wash up! Top to learn more

This stuff changed my life
From about age 13 to 23, I regularly suffered from pretty bad acne outbreaks. I tried all sorts of medications to treat it, both prescribed and over the counter. I had become all but resigned to the idea that it would become a lifelong affliction. It was not until I discovered this stuff while in college that I had found a truly effective solution for my acne woes. I have been using it for about 4-5 years now and could not be happier. Save yourself some trips to the dermatologist and unhealthy antiobiotic prescriptions and give this a shot. The only downside to is that the active ingredient (benzoyle peroxide) is a bleaching agent. You've got to be careful that it doesn't get on your clothes, carpet etc. Top to learn more

Essential Adult Acne Treatment
Allot of people could use this product alone to stop breakouts if they have moderate adult acne but people with bigger adult acne problems should really try this product and Neutrogena Deep Clean Invigorating Foaming Scrub along with controlling or eliminating processed sugars in their diet before resorting to a Dermatologist. I have spent ALLOT of money on Dermatologist appointments, medications (which often damage the Liver or Kidneys) and the MD's brand of acne wash - most of which did little more in the long term than damage my body and wallet.My first hand recommendation for moderate to severe adult acne. While in the shower, use the Neutrogena scrub (mentioned above), rinse, then use this product (same amount of Benzoyl Peroxide as the MD wash) and rinse. If starting during a severe breakout, perform 2x per day but no more (because of skin drying). You should see results within 2-3 days and clear skin within 1-4 weeks (depending on severity of the infection)... Top to learn more

Gets rid of most pimples that pop up around noseline
I have had great success with this spot treatment when coupled with daily cleansing with salicylic acid facial pads (I use pads by Aveeno but there are many brands available)I wash with the pads at night, spot treat with this OXY when I see a small blemish, wash it all off in the morning with more salicylic acid pads, and treat again with the OXY spot treatment if the blemish is still there.I find it usually shrinks and disappears after 1-2 days with this treatment. The combination of Benzoyl Peroxide in the OXY with the salicylic acid daily washing has pretty much gotten rid of all pimple breakouts in my case (I'm in my 40's w/fair to medium skin ---an oily tzone, dry in some spots) Top to learn more

Dont Waste Your $ On An RX!!
This product is great and is highly effective. I have worked in pharmacy for 3 years and have seen people spend a lot of money on prescription acne treatments that basically do the same thing but only cost more, especially if you dont have insurance. This strength of Benzoyl Peroxide used to be RX only, but now is over the counter. It is rather strong and I do suggest that you follow the instructions on the package, especially if you have sensitive skin, to "ease into it", even if you are tempted to put it on 2-3 times a day at the very beginning. It may cause your skin to become very dry and flaky, somewhat ruining the benefits. Overtime though, many people's skin gets used to it and then you can increase the application as neeed.As other people have mentioned this product does say that it is a gel, but in fact is a white cream and does leave some residue on the skin. The good news is that Clean & Clear has just come out with the same product as this in a clear... Top to learn more
The best zit cream ever
If you need to get rid of a zit fast, then this is the best out there, in my experience.I put this on any zit (or blackhead trying to become a zit) that I spy before bed, and it knocks that sucker out. It does make my skin peel a tad, and it will probably do the same to you, so be careful not to overuse. Also, make sure you use a lightweight, oil-free moisturizer as well if your skin is really sensitive.EDIT: Something else that's great: This product caused old acne scars on my chin to fade very quickly. Acne scars are the worst because even if the zit goes away it looks like you still have it! So this product is great for that as well.SECOND EDIT: I wrote this review several years ago. I'm now 29 and this product doesn't work the same for me as it used to. So your experience with it may vary depending on how old you are. When I was younger, it was the best!
