Fantastic for oil prone skin.
I love this product. I have super oily skin and very large pores. I have used countless other products (proactiv, clean and clear, neutrogena, ect) and they have been helpful. But I have always wanted to find something equally helpful that was not as chemically harsh. This completely fits the bill. My skin feels totally clean but not dried out after I wash and it stays feeling that way for at least as long as the other chemical based products if not longer. AFB has definitely won me over and I have already purchased more of their products. One warning. As others have mentioned it DOES NOT lather. If that is of importance then they have another cleanser that does. I haven't used it so I can't comment on its effectiveness. But if lather isn't a must you will probably love this cleanser!

Add this to your skin care regimen
I never heard of charcoal removing toxins from your body, so I was surprised to come across this product while researching natural facial washes. Upon reading some of the reviews I took it upon myself to do some reading on charcoal and its properties. I felt what I read along with some of the reviews convinced me enough to make a purchase. I'm not going to lie, I was skeptical but the way my cheeks have been riddled with blackheads I figured I had nothing to lose. I was so excited about this product I washed my face immediately after I got it out my mailbox, even though I had just finished washing my face 5 minutes before. This is a lovely cleanser. Light and slightly runny, not highly foaming. I have normal to dry skin and Super Detox leaves my skin feeling fresh but not dry. I love the citrusy essential oils. The natural ingredients make it feel very high-end. Don't let the simple packaging fool you.

Just as gentle as sensitive brush head but deeper clean
Clarisonic recently came out with this new deep pore cleansing brush head saying: "Ideal for cleansing oily skin, large pores or hard to reach areas of the face, such as around the nose. Gentle enough for daily use." Souonds perfect! But my only question was is it as gentle as your sensitive brush head because the normal brush head is too harsh for my face? Well I decided to take the plunge and try it. I am happy to say that I find it not any harsher or rather just as gentle as the sensitive brush head. Better Than Original Pore Strips
***ORIGINAL REVIEW:I've used the original pore strips and they do a decent job, but they aren't amazing. If you have a lot of small blackheads on your nose, the original ones really only pulled out one or two, and the rest were just a bunch of fine hairs.I gave these ultra pore strips a try and they definitely do a better job. I had much more effective extraction of all those pesky tiny blackheads on my nose/tip of my nose. I've tried masks, manual extraction, exfoliation and nothing would do a great job clearing all those dots. Best Blackhead Remover Out There!
I have like a million tiny black heads all over my nose. I had tried everything from masks, facials, extractions, etc. And then I decided to give these strips a try, and they really do rip those darn things right off your nose (they even pull out the tiny hairs off my nose....LOL). Works, for the most part!
The outside of my nose has been a problem area for me since junior high, as there was always an annoying amount of tiny black dots and little black hairs growing out of it. I'm sure most people don't notice them (my Indian skin hides them well), but I know they're there! Up until now, I'd handled them through daily washing and fingernail extraction (I've still got some scars from my early attempts...). Now that I'm doing better financially, I decided to "splurge" and "treat myself" to these strips. $15 for 6 strips sounds excessive, but I'm only really going to use them for big occasions, so I figured I'd try some before a Saturday event.The directions are fairly easy: wash your face and pat dry, then sprinkle some water on your nose, dry your hands, and separate the strip from the plastic. Great Face wash, bad customer service
I use this face wash daily as a 5 minute mask, along with clinique toner, and trader joe's face lotion. I find the combination makes my skin glowingly magnificent. I really do recommend this face wash.Definitely buy it through amazon not the company website. Ordered this once through amazon, and got it in 5 days, ordered it through the company site to get the 10% discount and waited three weeks, was overcharged, and then had a horrible experience with the customer service.

This toner is amazing!
I have been using this item with the Alba ACNEdote toner, as well as the Alba papaya enzyme face mask. I use a generic Target face cleanser (UP&UP daily facial cleanser for normal to oily skin). I have been using all these products together for about two months.Before starting to use these products: I had acne (especially on the my cheeks, my chin, my nose, and occasionally on my forehead and hairline), acne scarring (especially cheeks and chin), and my face was a combination of dry in some spots and extremely oily in others.The toner is refreshing and WORKS. Works great!
I love this product and want to spread the word! I have very sensitive skin, acne, and mild rosacea. My dermatologist recomended I begin using a face wash that contained 2% salicylic acid. Specifically she recomended OBAGI (which is around $60 and not cruelty free from what I could find online). I was very nervous about the word acid and worried that it would be to harsh. I did my research, found this product and decided to give it a try. I have been using it for two weeks now and it works great! It is gentle, has reduced the redness in my face, my current acne is going away and I have not had any new breakouts.I would recommend using just the wash to see how your skin reacts. I used the toner and found the combo to be a little to drying. Of course follow with a great moisturizer! Hope this helps!

Finally! Oil control and makeup friendly!
I have used this product for only 5 days and I totally see a difference in my skin. I usually wear makeup due to acne so I need oil control and coverage for my face. My skin is clearing up and no new zits since I've been using this. I only need a pea size amount in the morning and it goes a long way. I still see a glow in the afternoon, but only because I have super oily skin. A glow in the afternoon is much better than a messy makeup shine! I feel so much more confident and don't feel the need to rush home at 5 o'clock to wash off my slick and yucky face. It seems to set my makeup a lot better as well. Before my eyeliner seemed to smudge and my makeup would become splotchy after oil dabbing throughout the day. No more of that with this product. I will be stocking up on this product for sure.

Biore strips
I have been using these occasionally for a few years now and have noticed a difference in my pores, especially on my nose. I like how they have added slits around the nose strips to help prevent the wrinkles and bubbles on the strip I used to get. The package recommends not using them more than once every three days. I use them twice a month (or when I remember) and use the Biore triple action astingent immediately after removing the strips. I have had no adverse reactions to this item. You should not use if you have sunburn, blemishes, excessively dry skin or are sensitive to bandages or peel-off masks. Also, stick with the Biore brand, I have tried drug store knockoffs and they ARE NOT the same.

How badly do you want to lose those pores?
So this is kind of a good news/bad news situation. When I used the pore strips, my nose did indeed look fabulous. I had noticed over time I was having to use a mattifying gel over my foundation to keep the shine and cavernous pores from showing. The Biore strips really did pull a lot of junk out of them and I could skip the gel afterwards.However.....Take the package directions seriously. They are not meant for delicate skin. Don't use toner or an exfoliant in that area for at least 24 hours. And, think about whether you really want to use them at all. These strips are basically an adhesive and a hair spray ingredient (so says the author of "Don't Go To the Cosmetics Counter Without Me.") They can irritate your skin terribly and in the long run aren't good for it. They cannot be used in combination with Retinol, AHA's or BHA's and will make spider veins more pronounced.
